The all-new GO boards are the perfect first board that helps you progress from your first steps to fully planing and carve jibing.
The new shapes are wider and thinner for extra stability and wind range.
The deck has a large soft EVA finish, comfortable for your feet, knees and elbows. You get the grip without the cuts or rashes.
The EVA deck is raised above the edges of the board to allow the water to flow freely around the board and jibe smoothly without drag.
The GOs also feature a centre handle to carry under-arm.
Just like on the Carves, the zero tail kick rocker provides the easiest, smoothest entry in planing. Just hop on, sheet in and go fast.
They also share the same modern slim shapes as the Carves. With reduced thickness comes a sharp, more race-like sensation and control in higher winds.
The 2017 GO boards have new and improved Drake Freeride Power CNC G-10 fins with thinner tip for more speed and better lift control. The upright rake and thicker base provide maximum stability and traction for all sail sizes.
For 2017, all models are now fitted with a centre fin that helps you keep upwind and provides extra stability as you learn to windsurf.
Remove the centre fin, fit the plug in and you have a full performance freeride board.
The GOs also feature a nose carry handle, making them easy to carry for kids.
The cut-aways help reduce drag, which translates to higher top speeds and quick accelerations.
The dome in the tail makes them comfortable for all footstrap positions and easy to control in all conditions.
The GOs have new pads with a new square grooving pattern that is more comfortable and durable. There are footstrap positions for all levels of riders, from the entry level inside positions to the outside expert positions.
They’re also fitted with the next iteration of our Drake Slick footstraps, which are narrower than the Drake Wave straps and feature size indicator tabs for easy size adjustments.
For 2017, the GOs have been upgraded to our new 3DX construction.
3DX stands for three dimensional biaxial glass microsandwich construction. Both deck and bottom are wrapped in 45 degree biaxial glass fiber wetted out with an expanding foam epoxy cured under high pressure.
The biaxial glass gives a crisp, stiff feel with flex for choppy conditions. The foam epoxy creates a 2mm skin thickness for a microsandwich effect: tough and strong.
