Please help me with chosing the right board. I am 94 kg. I already own a F158 which I currently use with 11 to 6.9 m2. I do like to use the Isonic for GPS speedsurfing. Can you please advice me which Isonic you think will be the fastest one for me?

I would go with the 101 I sonic. I really like this board every time I get on it especially for the sail sizes that you are going to use.

What's is the reason for choosing the 101 instead of the 94.
The 94 is longer and smaller. So I had thought your advise a 94.
I sold my Sonic 100. Now I'm looking for a new SL-board.
The sails I use is a Vapor 7.0 (2006) and a Stealth 6.0 (2005).
A Isonic 101 cost 1600 euro
A Isonic 94 test board cost 1100 euro
What will be your chose?

I definetely don't want to answer in Kevin's place, but I've read in several iSonic topics that the 101 is the magical board for slalommers in Kevin Pritchard's / Ian Fox's opinion as a 1 man - 1 board slalomboard. If you are going to buy more boards, a different range might be better but from what I've read, I'd say the 101 is the favourite board of the pro's. So if you have the budget, I'd say you should go for the 101. If your level isn't very high though, one might choose for the cheaper option since it's not likely that you will notice much differences between these boards.
Though even I, as a intermediate sailer (in the early fase of intermediate :D) noticed differences in characteristics between the 2006 and 2007 shapes. The 2007 boards are (to my experience) waaaay easier to control, they sail somewhat like a freeride board, but with the speed potential of a slalom board! The 2006 had me working more, created more adrenaline but got out of control sooner.
Hope this helps,

I guess that Pieter Buis's 94 kgs. mean a lot in Kevin's advise: at that weight Pieter should be able to keep the 101 down even in high winds and broken water. I guess that any non-heavyweight non-pro sailor with a powered 6.0 would be way more comfortable on a 94. But that's just me guessing.

I just like the 101 a bit better. For 7.0 and up you will really like this board. I use it down to 6.3 and it is a fantastic Slalom board. Hope this helps..

Well, I bought the 101. And I am very happy with it, although the backfoot pressure is sometimes a bit to much. I even sail it with a 8.4 RS Slalom which works out very fine. 7.2 RSS with 101 is heaven. In 2008 I will buy the 122 to close the gap between the 101 and the F158. This because the 101 does sink sometimes when the wind drops. But my weight is to blame for this ;-)
