All the rage - in the magazines - has been about the nose of the board in the first picture. There have been 'interviews' with the shaper about it and everything. On the basis of that, I would expect pic one to be the true representation of the board.

strange though

Ok, but why did they make (and show on same web page) two different 2007 FX versions ??

I heard that the second picture is the 2006 model with stickers of the 2007 model.
They did that because of the board wasn't finished and they need pictures for the f2 brochure.

The new board with the boob job is going well in racing and testing. Racing has been in wind min.
conditions though. It has improved the light wind performance from last years board fer sure.
we don't have the proto to play with anymore, had to ship it to its next stop.

I saw one last Oct, as well, and its the first one, for sure. Anyone one know what gives with the paint job? It looks terrible? Looks like they painted it, then changed their minds and tried to sand it off. Is this to save weight?

I think that the PDF file / the brochure allready was finished while they still where busy with the shape off the board.

I have seen 3 FX V and they all head the new nose ...

We just got a couple in by airfreight to Miami and sailed them yesterday. More arriving in a week or so. The board is really incredible. A huge jump from last years which we did head to head testing on in 12-18 knot winds all day. I think the paint job represents the look of a custom board that has been wet sanded for speed to the point of the carbon showing through.....
