Not the SB team, but simple question to answer.

The iS134 is based on the 2016 shape, it is a favourite shape for a lot of riders because it had great control in harsh conditions.

The last two...

Not the SB team here.

I "think" the 147 foil has more nose rocker to help stop catching the nose and catapults. The U147 has a less nose rocker to aid early planning.

The 147 foil has...

ISonic web page faulty

Hi SB,

Just a quick heads up. On the iSonic web page, you can not see all the specs. It stops at the iS137, you can not see the iS147 and iS157 details. Like its to big for the page.

iSonic 157

Has any bought an iS157 and is good in windsurf mode?

If I get one, it will replace my old SB F161, will use a warp 9.6m.

I'm not going to use it for foiling.

Hi Davide

Not the team here, but a easy question to answer.

Foil use:
At 70kg, the iS117 and 7.3m freerace sail will work great.

Windsurf use:
At 70kg, the 7.3m is not ideal, but with a...

Does the iS157 100% perform like a true iSonic in windsurf mode or is it designed mostly for foil?

The iS157 might be the the board to change my with my F161. I am not going to use the iS157 for...

38cm fin seems a little big on an iS97, most are using 36/38cm on the iS107. What fins are you using?

If not a fin issue, -1cm less downhaul will help pin the board down in choppy waters.

Just...

What year iS97 and is it wood or carbon? Wood is much easier on the body.

I hear the new 2018 iSonic carbon LCF (balsa wood) is giving a smooth ride.

Failing that, go with a futura 2018 LCF...

For 90kg in 8-14k, and speedy gybe exits in light winds the iS137 has to be the best choice :)

Salve,

Not the team here. I read somewhere the iS134 2018 is identical to the iS134 2016. It said some thing like " because the gap between the iS107 and iS137 was getting bigger, SB brought back...

Board wise, you would be better looking at a Futura 127/137 or maybe a big Atom. Futura still fast, but easier than an iSonic. Or the big Atom as it will help you progress with gybes.

Last Saturday, I was on my old SB F162, North Warp 9.6m and a powerful fin. My mate was on an old SB F159, tushingham x19 8.5m and a Horue foil (set up for light winds). Wind was 5k to 10k flat...

Personally, I would be going with the iS124.

When the wind is to much for your US147, the iS124 will handle the 9.2m better than the iS114.

With a 44cm fin, the iS124/7.8m will go well in...

I had an iS137. I liked it so much I keep't for 4 years. The bottom shape for the 137 is flat V. Control, early planing and top end speed was excellent.

A friend had the iS127, which I tried...

Not the team here. I have seen a few 2014 W44's and they do not have cut outs. The 2016/2017 Luderitz W44 does have cut outs.

But you correct, the spec does say cut outs, maybe a typo error.
