Default Hybrid windsurf board

Hello, I was wondering if do you have in mind restart the production of a wide hybrid board, circa 80 cm wide, with daggerboard and mast track. Few brands has a board like that, except RS:X RSne and techno 293 OD (which are race oriented),
A board to sail in any course for fun not racing, a good idea would be like a SB go windsurfer without Eva deck and adding a mast track for more control when wind picks up.
Tell me about this idea, I think there's no product like that in the market for all this people who don't want a narrow and fragile raceboards.
Thanks!

I think the 3DX Phantom 299 and 295(l) are the boards that have replaced the hybrid's from the past. Due to the 3DX or tufskin construction they are not that fragile and a lot of fun to sail. I think a GO windsurfer with a adjustable masttrack has due to it's shape no use to get more control when the wind picks up and the dagger is probably not strong enough to rail on it upwind.....

Is the phantom 299 complicated to sail for a freerider? Phantom 299 or 295 L? Which is more fun and easy to sail? I'm 41 and I all I want is plug and play with or without wind, and I don't want to learn and haven't time and money to windfoiling, all I expect if there's not enough wind is just cruising my spot.
Thanks!!

I (almost 53) can only judge the P299. I think it's is not that difficult to sail, but it is not a freerider. In full planing mode only on the fin it almost is. In general when you build a board suited for proper use of a (big!)dagger and a masttrack it will become technical and plug and play is history.

For me this type of board is my 'ticket' to be able to windsurf when my agenda alows it and not the wind prediction.

This is what I want, just sailing, in planning mode or not, when I have some time (not so often).
Thanks!

.... the fact that Starboard make's this kind of productionboards for such a small group of windsurfers is always remarkable! This is one of the reason's I stay with Starboard's.

I have already ordered a phantom free! Have in fact waited for this kind of board several years. Do not get it until Feb or Mars 2018. Will be interested though to hear from anyone that have tried it!

My local shop had one in stock and was sold very fast. If I spot this board (and owner) at my windsurfing locations I will ask.
