I think the most important trait for anyone who wants to be a good windsurfer is simply the desire to be! If somebody wants something bad enough they'll do what it takes to get it, they'll automatically practice and learn all the time as much as they can.

This exactly Like anything all you need to really do is try. I know some people who are quite big (250+ lbs) and some people who are quite tall and they are all better windsurfers than me.
