Default S-type again: Sail Range

Hi Kevin, here's another question about this board.

What about boards range?
I know there's already written in the chart but sometimes it differs from the reality of the facts.
So do you know the aprox range of the 93, 104 and 115 s-types?
Maybe divided into: optimal and still-rideable without too much effort..

These questions for two reasons: I got a 93 and I'd like to know wich sails I can put on to, the other a friend of mine is looking for a new board but he's interested in range..
He saw hifly madd (twinsers..) range and was very impressed; but he's tryed the ST and he was impressed too!

Alex,

The range on these boards is amazing. I use the 115 with sails from 4.7 to 8.0. The 104 you can use 7.0 to 4.2 and the 93 you can use whith 7.0 and down. The best thing about it is you can try and use any sail you want on it and it wont hurt the board. If you try something that you think might work and it does then you are happy. If you try it and it doesnt work then there is nothing really lost.

I once used a sonic 95 with a 10.0 and 42 cm fin in a race and came 3rd. I had to put the mast track all the way in the very front of the box and it wasnt the best but to come 3rd place with the best in the world, it goes to show you can use what you want to use for the conditions.

Thank you for the tips again!

The sonic 95 with the 10.0 is really amazing: is still so much to discover in this windsurfing world!

P.S. I've just seen some pics from Cabo Verde: astonishing!
You must have had good time there! Bye
