Default evo XTV --- where toget a bigger fin

Hi All,
I got an 80 liter XTV this fall and have been having a blast on it, perfect wave conditions for the board and just enough wind to get the job done. But I am on bigger sails (5.8 and 6.2) and am trying to decide on a bigger fin. The Drake that comes with it is a sweet fin, but I cant find a retail outfit that stocks them (I live in so cal usa)

I do have one input, I like starboard a lot, but the stock fins are always in the smallest category I would use for the board. Why?

Hi andrewst,

Although I'm not from the Starboard team, I've found that True Ames' Enduro line is a great wave design worthy of consideration, and it's manufactured from G10. The Enduro is my wave fin of choice. Check them out at their following website:

If you find interest in these fins, and you are subsequently having difficulty finding a retail outlet, you can always stop by the True Ames facility by the Santa Barbara airport. Tons of fins in all sizes.

Sorry but I cant help you with exactly where you can find a Drake Natural fin. I do think the 25 or 26 cm version would indeed suit you very fine. Which one of these depend on just how small you fins the original 23. One of the nice things about the Drake Natural line is how smooth the transition between sizes are.

That said, I True Ames will probably work well to but I can't helt you with the sizing on that one. The Drake Natural fins sail small for their depth (and probably small for their area as well) so you can't directly compare to the same size of another model.
